Shortcuts

There really isn’t such a thing as a shortcut in this journey. BUT there are better ways to do what we were meant to do. Slow and steady. Racing through our journey only causes us to miss all the wonderful ‘little’ things we would/could experience.

  • dates with your spouse
  • dates with  your daughter/son
  • the opportunity to correct your child while they’re young so that they don’t experience the heartbreak of disobedience when they’re older
  • a hobby you love
  • being a blessing to others

The list is endless. And having the right attitude/behavior will either shorten or lengthen the time spent in your periods of wilderness or desert. Don’t let your journey be like that of the Israelites. It took them 40 years to go through what should have only taken 11 days. 11 days!!! You have this in you. You are called for a higher purpose. Walk in obedience and contentment in ALL things. Pray without ceasing and do not allow yourself to mumble or complain.

Be encouraged, that our Father in Heaven is excited to be on this journey with you. That his best laid plans are right in front of you. That even though our journey sometimes takes us through the wilderness, HE IS ABLE, HE IS PROVISION,  HE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED…. TRUST AND OBEY.

Psalm 121 ‘I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from?2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber;4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.5 The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.7 The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life;8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.'
